ABOUT

About Good Things Grow

Hello and welcome to Good Things Grow. Here I share my passion for whole food recipes and the experiences that food and eating seem to write permanently on my memory. I believe in shared meals gathered around the table, seasonal eating, healthy appetites, whole grains, and plenty of fruits and veggies; and there’s always room for a bit of sweetness thrown in too. It’s also a place for learning, growing, and keeping good company, as I consider these things very important in life. My goal is to get people excited about cooking with real food and share recipes in an approachable way so you can enjoy a nutritious meal without going too far out of your way in search of ingredients.

About Me
I’m Jacqui, a Pacific NW native, nature lover and outdoor enthusiast, with a garden behind my home. My husband and I have a weekly ritual of gathering with friends for a laid-back feast; it’s possibly our favorite night of the week. Our life is simple, but it keeps us grounded and makes it a happy one.

With my husband Scott, we run a graphic design and handmade goods business called Slide Sideways. We design logos, illustrations, and create screen printed products. You can visit our website and shop for the specifics.

Your comments and questions truly make my day, so long as they are kind. If you have a more specific question or if you’re interested in hiring me for photography, writing, or recipe development, please contact me through my contact form for more information. Same goes for if you would like me to review your book or product. However, please note that just because you send me free things, does not mean I will automatically promote it on the blog. Only things I really love make the cut.

Camera and Permissions:
I shoot with a Pentax K-5 and use a 30mm f/1.4 and 50mm f/1.4 lens for all my photos, and always in natural light. All photo’s and text are copyright of Good Things Grow, therefore I ask that you please contact me for my permission before using and also to give proper credit to my work.
